In the past couple days I've grown pretty found of this video. I think it's from the lead up to the demonstrations against the 2004 RNC convention in New York City. We tried to get down there, but U.S. immigration had other ideas. Anyhoo... on a compleatly unrelated note, the 2008 RNC is happening in Minneapolis-St.Paul, which is kind of close

While I was stopped in Guelph today, I found out about a not-for-profit artist-run centre called Ed Video. It aims to support media artists and independent productions in Southwest Ontario. They maintain an extensive equipment pool with video cameras, lighting equipment, audio eqiupment, editing software, etc. and editing suits. They also provide workshops on all sorts of subjects such as production, post-production, shooting, equipment orientations, writing, editing and more. and finally, they also offer funding assistance.

This is a Video about Vancouver's Insite, a safe and supervised enviroment for the I.V. drug using community in Vancouver. Since the opening of Insite, overdose rates and the instances of bloodbourn illnesses such as HIV/AIDS and HEP C have visably dropped. Other important benifits are seen in the health, safety and dignity of the drug using community.

A recent study finds that multiple stab wounds may be harmful to monkeys, as reported by the Onion. Contrast this to the control group which was mearly punched.

It would be awesome if this thread could keep to the issues and not to the people voicing their opinions on the issues. It would also be cool if we could focus on common ground rather then differences and avoid talking past each other...
