Central Public Library - beside Little Red Roasters
Come join us for the next Disability Action Group meeting this Wednesday March 4th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at Central Public Library in the space beside Little Red Roasters.
We will be discussing the action that took place this weekend, and the next steps.
Other possible topics of discussion include having information sessions on chemical sensitivities and the need to increase the amount of accessible sidewalks, but feel free to bring your own ideas!
The next meeting of the Disability Action Group
will be taking place on Wednesday January 21st from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at
Central Library outside of Little Red Roasters.
The meetings are
now open to able bodied people, so everyone is welcome. For more
information contact daglondon@gmail.com. Our main focus will be the
sidewalk snow issue and upcoming action.
Like many Ontario cities, life in London has its strong and weak points. In many ways London is a great place to live, with a beautiful atmosphere and in there tough times there are still jobs to be found. On the surface London seems to keep up with modern life, but one area it really lacks in is accessibility for people with disabilities.

The next meeting of the Disability Action Group will be taking place on December 15th at 6pm in Central Library. We will be discussing snow and transit issues, and any new issues that come up.
The meetings are open to anyone with a disability, but able bodied members can participate in specific matters with group approval. For more information contact daglondon@gmail.com
After being inspired by the previously titled Feminist Act Group (now known as FACT) I have decided to begin an action based group to help promote some much needed disability activism and awareness in London.
For now I would ask that it be for people with disabilities only. Central Library is a pretty accessible place (I think). I'm hoping this can be a great group for discussing issues, and creating disability awareness and action on our own. Come on out!!!
