We are opening a second cafe at Briscoe and Wharncliffe called The Briscoe and it has a commercial kitchen. We only need the kitchen once a week to make our own food so we want to offer to rent the commercial premises out by the day to people who want to use it. Last Friday of the month is critical mass! Cyclists meet at victoria park and head out as a group to take over a lane, raising awareness about cycling as a viable transportation form. Sorry for the last minuteness...but come out for an hour or two of wonderful leisurely cycling tonight. Meet up at victoria park bandshell, 6:30 pm. Ride departs at 7pm. Bells/Horns are encouraged. It was early for us to do that, but we wanted to help so we commited to this project. Two months into what is now The Briscoe Cafe, our cook dropped out of the project leaving us to open the cafe and cook most of our food. A few months ago, one of our local food suppliers came to us and asked if we would throw our support behind renting a commercial kitchen in London where she could work and where we might open a second cafe. It was early for us to do that, but we wanted to help so we commited to this project. Two months into what is now The Briscoe Cafe, our cook dropped out of the project leaving us to open the cafe and cook most of our food. Well, we have struggled to meet this challenge and last weekend we opened the doors of The Briscoe. Its a happy event for sure, but we are kind of desperate for help. | ||
