How about a Moderator skill-share session?

We've had a relatively new group of moderators here on the Commons for a couple of months now, but we've never really sat down together to go over our roles or how the moderation tools of the site work. I know I've been asked a few times how things work or what exactally our roles are, and quite frankly I often don't know. I thought it would be a good idea for us to get together sometime to do this. I thought we could go over how to use some of the relevant tools from the moderation sidebar and how they work, what each of the moderator roles are, just what exactly we are mandated to do as moderators and what are some of the challenges we can expect to face.

I think it would also be helpful if some of the ex-moderators (I'm thinking Rachel, Jeremy specifically) could participate to share their experience and expertise with us.

I don't really have a date or time in mind, but I was thinking maybe we could do this at EVAC, East Village Cafe or PanAfric Cafe, as they're all pretty central and have wireless (and the latter two have coffee...). So Mods, how about we aim for some time in late February or early March? (a few people are away right now i think...). Wednesdays and Thursdays work best for me. Maybe we could also have a Commons meeting before or afterwards. Hmm?
