EVAC Crafts, Shows and Miaow! Miaow!
We have a busy month of May ahead of us, with some fun stuff happening
at the East Village Arts Co-op, 757 Dundas. Please keep in mind, the space stays open and available
because of your memberships and donations, so contact me or stop by
EVAC if you can contribute, any amount is appreciated.
CURRENTLY - Submissions are now being accepted for Miaow! Miaow! - London's first DIY Indie Womyn's Festival.
We are seeking art, zines, political writing, dance troupes, womyn run
businesses, performance art, one act plays, poetry slammers, spoken
word and musicians to be a part of this amazing event! The opening
event will take place May 22nd at EVAC and May 24th at the Black Shire
Pub.

MAY
7th - Dreamy Thursdays - Craft day at EVAC. 1-5pm, We will be creating
patches using a method taught to me by Amara (thank you Amara!). Bring
a high contrast black and white fairly fresh photocopy of a sketch you
would want to use, or use one provided.
MAY 16th - The Riderless w/ Burial Song (Montreal)

MAY 22nd - MIAOW! MIAOW! Opening Night!
An art exhibition that focuses on the creative works of local London
Womyn. There will be tables with essential information from London's
various womyn focused organizations, prizes, food and music. Admission
is free.
May 23rd - MIAOW! MIAOW! continues at the Black Shire
Pub, with all day art and music! 1-4pm Open Mic, 4-6 pm Open Jam
Session, 6pm-midnight women musicians and performers.
Proceeds from these 2 nights will benefit SACL and The Blue House Effect.

MAY 30th - 3rd Annual UP with ART
Toast spring with our silent auction fundraiser and grassroots gala of music and art with a social conscience.
