potluck

On Wednesday July 8th the Disability Action Group
will be hosting its first social event!

The event is a potluck and there will be food, but please
bring something if you can. It’s also a
great opportunity to meet and network other people who are concerned with
disability issues in London.

We will be meeting at Central Library at 5:30pm, and heading
to Victoria Park from there if the weather is good.  read more »

So I know its short notice.  but tomorrow there will be a vegetarian potluck at Empowerment as we do every wednesday.  And we will be watching videos from the ongoing insurrection in Greece on the big screen.  There's some amazing footage out there of the most inspiring riots in recent memory.  Hope to see some of you there. 

Come out and join community and friends as we reclaim baking as a wonderfully fun art form.  Bring a recipe and creativity as we experiment and collaborate to create delicious masterpieces.  The result will be distributed amongst participants, so we'll all have something yummy to take home.  read more »

In mid-October of last year, Empowerment officially opened as a activist resource center, meeting space, and infoshop.. Over the past year we've hosted several dozen events ranging from potlucks, film nights, fundraiser parties, meetings, workshops, concerts, and more... Join us for a free film screening of PickAxe, a radical documentary about environmentalists who put themselves on the line to protect one of the last old growth forests in the northwest (US). This will also be a vegan/vegetarian potluck so bring some wholesome sustainable food to share. (The production of meat is the primary cause of deforestation around the world especially the amazonian rainforest).  read more »
