Please the Disability Action Group and F.ACT in support of Londoners with Disabilities and pedistrians. The City has done a terrible job this year at maintaining its sidewalks, and we want to help build awareness in London of why this is such a problem before winter is over. To the average pedistrian a build up of snow is an annoyance, but for people with disabilties this is a huge barrier. Sidewalks left uncleared leave us stuck in our homes and unable to get to work, volunteer, support our local businesses or otherwise participate in our community.

The next meeting of the Disability Action Group will be taking place on December 15th at 6pm in Central Library. We will be discussing snow and transit issues, and any new issues that come up.

The second general meeting will be taking place on Wednesday November 25th. We will be discussing ways to take action against snow issues in London possibly a "stuck in the snow campaign", which I'm personally very excited about as well as ways to promote awareness of chemical sensitivities. The meeting is open to other topics as well.
Once again I would ask that the meeting be for people with disabilities only, but interest and ideas from able bodied people is appreciated.
