A few months ago, one of our local food suppliers came to us and asked if we would throw our support behind renting a commercial kitchen in London where she could work and where we might open a second cafe. It was early for us to do that, but we wanted to help so we commited to this project. Two months into what is now The Briscoe Cafe, our cook dropped out of the project leaving us to open the cafe and cook most of our food. Well, we have struggled to meet this challenge and last weekend we opened the doors of The Briscoe. Its a happy event for sure, but we are kind of desperate for help.  read more »

Do you knit or do other needle-work? Thursday nights are Knit Nite at the East Village Coffeehouse. Come and share resources, tips, and time over a hot java and the gentle tinkling of the needles. Kids are welcome and may find their own entertainment with our wide assortment of games and Dr. Suess books. Snuggle into our cosy pink loveseat or spread your kit out over our large round table.
