I stumbled upon this project by following a link from a story on CBC about a Saskatoon man who used Google Street View to promote his band.

Street With A View introduces fiction, both subtle and spectacular, into the doppelganger world of Google Street View.


On May 3rd 2008, artists Robin Hewlett and Ben Kinsley
invited the Google Inc. Street View team and residents of Pittsburgh’s
Northside to collaborate on a series of tableaux along Sampsonia Way.
Neighbors, and other participants from around the city, staged scenes
ranging from a parade and a marathon, to a garage band practice, a
seventeenth century sword fight, a heroic rescue and much more...

August is nearly over and
after 2 fantastic art exhibits, a slew of good live music and an
unplanned 'pool party', we figured an update was due.

FOTO exhibit can still be seen for a few more days, so come by and see the talented work of Pilgrim/Shapiro/Meehan/Pilgrim.

The Miaow! Miaow! event was a fantastic success (If I'm allowed to say so!)  Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen and to those of you who attended the shows!

+ Soft pillows only!
+ Swing lightly, many people will be swinging at once.
+ Do not swing at people without pillows or with cameras.
+ Remove glasses beforehand!
+ The event is free and appropriate for all ages.
+ Wait until the signal to begin

through most of the crowd, and you are probably a little nervous.
