Hey all,

It's been a while since I've put-up a post here..

a brief update:

for
the last couple of months, the 'London Food Not Bombs' crew has just
been organizing informally by word of mouth as well as, on occasion,
preparing meals outside of the 'last-sunday-of-the-month' routine.
all
is cool, but due mostly to my lack of co-ordinating, the group has been
organizing somewhat under the radar of most of the rest of you.  read more »

Hey everybody,

It's been a couple of months since I've sent-out an e-mail to this list.
It's been a very busy summer for a lot of us, but I'm glad to hear that
the Food Not Bombs meals have been continuing in everyone's absence. Hats-off to everyone who has dedicated themselves to pulling things together for the last couple of meals.  read more »

Critical Mass London: A Memorial Ride for Darcy Allan Sheppard

Sep 4 2009 - 6:30pm
Location:
Victoria Park Bandshell

As you may already know, a cyclist Darcy Allan Sheppard was killed on Bloor St in downtown Toronto Monday night.

While the media emphasizes the figure of a perpetrator Michael Bryant, the former Attorney General, and trivializes it as an isolated incident, this is also the manifestation of larger problems we as cyclists face everyday: the car centred urban infrastructure and drivers' lack of respect for cyclists on the road.  read more »

Hi everyone,

This Sunday we're planning on doing another

We'll be cooking out of
the kitchen at the Empowerment Centre (636 Queens ave.) starting at

Colbourn and Waterloo) to serve the meal from 5:00-7:00pm.

Support Needed

Jul 8 2009 - 12:39am
Jul 31 2009 - 12:39am
Location:
East Village Coffeehouse

A few months ago, one of our local food suppliers came to us and asked if we would throw our support behind renting a commercial kitchen in London where she could work and where we might open a second cafe. It was early for us to do that, but we wanted to help so we commited to this project. Two months into what is now The Briscoe Cafe, our cook dropped out of the project leaving us to open the cafe and cook most of our food. Well, we have struggled to meet this challenge and last weekend we opened the doors of The Briscoe. Its a happy event for sure, but we are kind of desperate for help.  read more »
