for
the last couple of months, the 'London Food Not Bombs' crew has just
been organizing informally by word of mouth as well as, on occasion,
preparing meals outside of the 'last-sunday-of-the-month' routine.
all
is cool, but due mostly to my lack of co-ordinating, the group has been
organizing somewhat under the radar of most of the rest of you. read more »
It's been a couple of months since I've sent-out an e-mail to this list.
It's been a very busy summer for a lot of us, but I'm glad to hear that
the Food Not Bombs meals have been continuing in everyone's absence. Hats-off to everyone who has dedicated themselves to pulling things together for the last couple of meals. read more »
I was perusing the LF Press this morning, and read an article about On the Move Organics local delivery service by bicycle! Plus it's on page A2 (the second page of the paper)! I was really happy to see the LF Press giving generous coverage to a small startup business based in Old East.
This Sunday we're planning on doing another
Last-Sunday-Of-The-Month FOOD NOT BOMBS meal, and just want to put the
word out as always for any of you that would like to join us this
weekend. We'll be cooking out of
the kitchen at the Empowerment Centre (636 Queens ave.) starting at
2:00pm, then heading over to Campbell memorial Park (on Dundas between
Colbourn and Waterloo) to serve the meal from 5:00-7:00pm.
Whatever amount of time you can offer would be a big help. read more »

It was early for us to do that, but we wanted to help so we commited to this project. Two months into what is now The Briscoe Cafe, our cook dropped out of the project leaving us to open the cafe and cook most of our food. Well, we have struggled to meet this challenge and last weekend we opened the doors of The Briscoe. Its a happy event for sure, but we are kind of desperate for help. read more »
